Mobile Device E-Mail Configuration

iPhone/iPad/iPod

To configure an iPhone/iPad/iTouch to connect to Microsoft Office 365:

1. Tap Settings.

2. Tap Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.

3. Tap Add Account.

4. Tap Microsoft Exchange.

5. Enter these settings:

a. Email: your full Ithaca College e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@ithaca.edu)

b. Password: your Netpass password

c. Description: Ithaca College

6. Tap Next.

7. After verifying, the screen will show checkmarks next to each field.

8. On the next screen, you will see four sliders, labeled as Mail, Contacts, Calendar and Reminders. You can select if you will sync these various options by taping the sliding on/off.

9.Tap Save.


Android

To configure an Android to connect to Microsoft Office 365 (exact process may differ):

1. Tap the Settings application.

2. Tap Accounts (or Accounts and Sync)

3. Tap Add Account.

4. Tap Corporate or Corporate Sync (not Email app)

5. Fill in the following information:

a. Email address: your full Ithaca College e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@ithaca.edu)

b. Password: your Netpass password

c. Domain: leave blank

d. Username: your full Ithaca College e-mail address (e.g., jdoe@ithaca.edu)

6. Tap Next.

7. A success message will appear indicating that the server address was automatically populated. If the server field is not populated or “ithaca.edu” is listed, enter the following server: outlook.office365.com

8. Tap Next.

9. You may be asked to allow remote security administration for this server. Tap OK.

10. The account options screen gives you various sync options. Once you have made your selections, tap Next.

11. Name the account and tap Next.

12. You may be prompted to Activate device administration. Tap Activate.

Refer to the device instructions provided by the vendor for additional details.
 

Passwords

Typically, Netpass passwords are saved on the device. This password will need to be updated after every Netpass password change (approximately every 120 days).
