"When I stand up and say that I want to oppose discrimination against people because of their sexual orientation, it is not because I want to seem nice.

It is because if I don't, everything I have done in my life will be in vain."

LGBT Summer Break Resources

Welcome to the Ithaca College Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services!

Our campus is home to a diverse, vibrant, and engaged community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and allied students, staff, and faculty. Many LGBT and allied people have found the campus and surrounding community an ideal place to learn, work, and live.

The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services actively fosters the academic success and personal growth of LGBT students, and it offers college-wide services to enhance the campus community's understanding and appreciation of LGBT people and themes.

Our center is located on the lower level of the Hammond Health Center. The center's services include

  • an office staffed by a professional coordinator
  • a resource room that offers a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBT people and their allies
  • resources, information, and referrals on LGBT issues
  • campus-wide LGBT-themed educational programs and events

Founded in 2001, the center provides access to information, education, support, and services that value each person's unique diversity. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

I look forward to your visit to the center!
