Killam Fellowship Program

The Program: As an Ithaca College student you have the opportunity to apply for a Killam Fellowship. Killam Fellowship recipients receive a scholarship of $10,000 US ($5,000 US per semester). Students from private institutions such as IC may also be eligible, on a competitive basis, for additional support of up to $5,000 US per semester in the form of a "high cost allowance ". Twenty scholarships are awarded each year and they are due on April 15 th. Application criteria are based primarily on academic merit and a personal statement. Mount Allison University

Dalhousie University

Université de Montreal

University of Ottawa

Queen’s University

McGill University

University of Toronto

McMaster University

York University

Memorial University of Newfoundland

 

The Location: The Universities are in various cities throughout Canada. Learn about each university partner through the Killam website.

Housing: As an exchange student you will be recommended to live in student housing, though off-campus housing will also be an option in most cases.

Eligibility requirements:
Sophomore, junior or senior standing
Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA
Good judicial standing at the College.

As with all Ithaca College exchange programs:

  • Tuition will be paid to Ithaca College
  • State, federal and institutional financial aid may be applied to the program cost, though actual aid amounts will be re-evaluated based upon actual program expenses.
  • Credits earned abroad are guaranteed to transfer back to Ithaca College, and grades received will be calculated in cumulative GPA.
  • A leave of absence is not required – students remain active Ithaca College students while abroad on an exchange program.
  • Housing will be provided either in residence halls or in off-campus apartments, depending upon location and availability
  • Meal plans are not available, but students will have access to kitchen facilities, cafeterias and restaurants.
