2008 Short term summer program:

Exploring Rehabilitation and Health Promotion in China (Course number tbd): May 21 - June 3. 2 credits.

This course in Beijing and Chengdu, China will allow students from various health related disciplines to explore the Chinese philosophy, methods and systems of rehabilitation and health promotion at national and regional levels. In addition, students will participate in cultural events to help set the Chinese philosophy in perspective. Instructors will be Dr. Hongwei Guan (HPPE) and Mr. Nicholas Quarrier (PT).

As with all Ithaca College exchange programs:

  • Tuition will be paid to Ithaca College
  • State, federal and institutional financial aid may be applied to the program cost, though actual aid amounts will be re-evaluated based upon actual program expenses.
  • Credits earned abroad are guaranteed to transfer back to Ithaca College, and grades received will be calculated in cumulative GPA.
  • A leave of absence is not required – students remain active Ithaca College students while abroad on an exchange program.
  • Housing will be provided either in residence halls or in off-campus apartments, depending upon location and availability
  • Meal plans are not available, but students will have access to kitchen facilities, cafeterias and restaurants.
