Summer 2008 Short Term Courses:

Social Entrepreneurship
Tentative dates May 15-29; 1 credit
This course will bring Ithaca College students from a variety of disciplines together in Ecuador for an experiential, service-learning program. Students will work to solve problems in the creation and operation of sustainable micro-enterprises established through Fundación Maquipucuna (FM). Time will be spent analyzing and trouble-shooting problems facing these new businesses while trying to offer solutions that capture the objective of sustainability.

Prerequisite: Block II portion of course (MGMT-39700)

Ecotourism and Natural Resource Management

Time will be spent analyzing and trouble-shooting problems facing this business while trying to offer solutions that capture the objective of sustainability.
