Boardman Memories

On the wall in our current home I have a black-and-white tile picturing the Boardman House.

I attended Ithaca College from 1949 to 1953, when I received my bachelor of music degree. During those years I took piano lessons from Frank Page in his studio on the second floor of the Boardman House, where I performed often as soloist and accompanist in the performance hall. I also played string bass in orchestra, which had its rehearsals in the hall under the direction of Craig McHenry.

On the wall in our current home I have a black-and-white tile picturing the Boardman House, and dated 1866.

These recollections bring back many fond memories, which are also kindled by our (my wife and I) visits to Ithaca where our daughter and family now live.
