Nicolas Barajas ’08 one was of 20 students nationwide to be chosen to attend The New York Times Student Journalism Institute. The Institute is an annual program that partners with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ). This year’s program will be held in January at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
According to the press release, The Institute is “an 11-day, hands-on journalism residency program offered to aspiring reporters, editors, photographers and designers who are student members of the NAHJ.”
Barajas is a Communication Management and Design major. He is currently the online editor for The Ithacan.
