IMC major Carrie Buchwalter, class of '08, currently works for the Wildlife Conservation Society, an international non-profit based in the Bronx, New York. The company owns the Bronx Zoo and the New York Aquarium, manages the Prospect Park, Central Park and Queens Zoos, and works towards "saving wild things and wild places" with over 500 conservation projects in more than 60 countries. Prior to joining the Wildlife Conservation Society in 2009, Carrie received her M.A. in International Public Relations from Cardiff University.
Carrie currently serves as the Marketing Assistant in the Business Services department. Her responsibilities include planning and executing events at the Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium, as well as overseeing advertising creation and placement for the other three zoos. She recently helped launch an annual program at the Bronx Zoo called Animal Tales Extravaganza, bringing in celebrities such as Bernadette Peters and Kathie Lee Gifford to read their children's books.
