Office of Public Safety

The Office of Public Safety, which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is located in the Center for Public Safety and General Services, is committed to the safety and well-being of the College’s students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Central Administration is responsible for the overall management of public safety, including all policy and programmatic development and implementation. Public Safety is comprised of four operating areas:

• Patrol and Security Services, which is made up of sworn peace officers, state-certified security officers, communications staff and Student Auxiliary Safety Patrol members;
• Parking and Traffic Services, which administers and enforces parking regulations and vehicle parking permit registration;
• Environmental Health and Safety, which facilitates College compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations; and
• Central Office, which provides administrative and technical support to all areas of public safety.
