Sustainable Tompkins is a broad-based coalition of organizations and individuals whose mission is to ensure the long-term well-being of our communities and region.

It supports projects, partnerships, public education, and other strategies that connect and enhance the key aspects of sustainability:

Social equity and well-being;

Personal and civic accountability and empowerment;

A vibrant, diversified economy;

The health of our ecosystems.

The primary goal is to introduce the concept of sustainability to individuals, businesses, and community and government leaders.

Another is to create and encourage partnerships and collaborations that bring about positive changes.

Membership in Sustainable Tompkins is open to all.

See our welcome brochure for more information.

See the Sustainable Tompkins pattern map for how these areas of sustainability overlap and where you can get involved.
