One aspect of the Spring 2004 feasibility study project was to offer opportunities for more of the regional community to engage in informal discussions of sustainability.

Sustainability Salons were held in five coffee-house locations around the county, and were offered weekly for six weeks, beginning in March and concluding in May.

Welcome Salons are offered to introduce those interested to the work of Sustainable Tompkins and help connect people into active project teams or support new ideas in keeping with our group's mission.

Those participating in sustainability salons are encouraged to read the same sustainability readings used by the participants in Study Circles.
