Over three hundred network printers are available across campus. Individuals can purchase local attached printers for individual use. Most printers on campus are black and white printers but some departments have color printers. Color printing is much more expensive then black and white printing.
Network printers must be purchased using the guidelines on the GetIT support site. Budgeting for thiese purchases should be done as part of the normal budget cycle. Once purchased, network printers become part of the Technology Renewal Program and are replaced every four years. ITS will configure and install the network printer.
Individual departments are responsible for purchasing printing supplies such as toner, ink cartridges, and paper.
Black and white printing is available in the public labs and the Library. Color printing is available in the Library. Duplicating Services also provides color printing.
- Students cannot print to lab printers from personal computers.
- Duplexing is encouraged but not required.
- In labs, multiple copies are prohibited. Users are encouraged to print one copy.
