Complete Post-Acceptance Requirements

After being accepted to a study abroad program, you will have post-acceptance requirements to complete. These requirements will vary based upon the program type you have selected. See below for more information.
LONDON CENTER - Post-Acceptance Requirements

After being accepted to the Ithaca College London Center program, students are responsible for completing/submitting the following post-acceptance requirements:

  1. Log in to your online study abroad file and submit ALL of the post-acceptance materials listed, if possible. For items that you are not yet certain about, for example, your contact information and travel details, it is ok to submit this information once you have solidified your plans.
  2. All accepted students are required to attend the London Center Orientation. Students planning to do an internship or work in London (and those who are not U.S. citizens or those who plan to stay in London for more than 6 months) must also attend a required Visa & Internship Orientation. You can find detailed information about orientation dates and times in your London Center acceptance email. (Note: London Center students are not required to attend the general study abroad orientations: "Traveling Abroad" Sessions and "Ithaca College Details" Sessions. These sessions geared towards students who will be studying on Ithaca College short-term, exchange, affiliated, and non-affiliated programs.)
  3. Students will be required to submit additional post-acceptance requirements that will be distributed in the main London Center orientation.
  4. For students who will be applying for a visa, you will need to be prepared to attend a biometrics appointment at some point after orientation and must secure proof of funds 28 days before applying for your visa. ITHACA COLLEGE FACULTY-LED PROGRAMS - Post-Acceptance Requirements

After being accepted to an Ithaca College Faculty-Led program, students are responsible for completing/submitting the following post-acceptance requirements:

  1. Log in to your online study abroad file and submit ALL of the post-acceptance materials listed, if possible. For items that you are not yet certain about, it is ok to submit this information later on.
  2. All accepted students are required to attend one of the "Traveling Abroad" orientation sessions. You can find detailed information about orientation dates and times in your acceptance email.
EXCHANGE PROGRAM - Post-Acceptance Requirements

After being accepted to an Ithaca College Exchange program, students are responsible for completing/submitting the following post-acceptance requirements:

  1. Complete and submit all required materials to the exchange university.
  2. Obtain a copy of the program costs from the Office of International Programs and Extended Studies, then schedule a time to meet with Student Financial Services (SFS) (607) 274-3131.
  3. After meeting with SFS, schedule a post-acceptance paperwork appointment with a study abroad advisor.
  4. Log in to your online study abroad file and submit ALL of the post-acceptance materials listed, if possible. For items that you are not yet certain about, it is ok to submit this information later on.
  5. ALL accepted exchange students are required to attend one "Traveling Abroad" orientation session, and if studying during a fall or spring semester, students must also attend one "Ithaca College Details" orientation session. You can find detailed information about orientation dates and times in your acceptance email.
  6. Students will work with the exchange partner with regard to the the visa process, if a visa is required.
AFFILIATED & NON-AFFILIATED PROGRAMS - Post-Acceptance Requirements

After being accepted to an affiliated program or non-affiliated program, students are responsible for completing the following post-acceptance requirements:

  1. Meet with Student Financial Services (SFS) to discuss how your financial aid package will apply to the study abroad program. 
  2. After meeting with SFS, schedule a post-acceptance paperwork appointment with a study abroad advisor.
  3. Log into your online study abroad file and submit ALL of the post-acceptance materials listed, if possible. For items that you are not yet certain about, it is ok to submit this information later on.
  4. Don't forget to also complete any outstanding obligations your study abroad program provider requires.
  5. ALL accepted affiliated and non-affiliated students for fall and for spring semesters are required to attend one "Traveling Abroad" & orientation session and one "Ithaca College Details" orientation session. If studying on a short-term basis (winter or summer), students only need to attend one "Traveling Abroad" session. Information on dates and times will be posted on our website, on Intercom and so long as you have registered for your program in our system, you should also receive emails from our office that include the relevant information.
  6. Students will work with the program provider with regard to the visa process, if a visa is required.
