Resource and Environmental Management Program

Provide overall guidance and direction to the college's environmental program. Help all campus departments and outside agencies with the procurement of energy conservation and resource utilization grants. Educate the campus community on environmental issues.

Recycling

Vision: This educationally based program strives to become the standard of excellence for solid waste recycling programs for residential comprehensive colleges.

Mission: The duty of the Solid Waste Recycling program is to provide topnotch solid waste management services in a timely, cost-effective manner to help create a clean and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff and guests.

Energy Management Program

Vision: To maximize efficiencies in the use of electrical and fossil fuel energy resources and to explore and implement cost effective environmentally responsible innovations in alternative fuel technology for the benefit of the College community.

Mission: Through cooperation and communication with the Ithaca College constituencies we will make the most efficient use of electrical and fossil fuel energy resources in a cost effective and environmentally responsible manner.

Resource and Environmental Management Program

Through the coordination of the Sustainability Programs Coordinator, the Office of Facilities provides overall guidance and direction to the College's Resource and Environmental Management Program. Developing and conducting training opportunities regarding the College's recycling and resource programs, participating in environmental education activities, enhancing the College's recycling program and educating the campus community on environmental issues.
