Please join us in the Handwerker Gallery this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for the final reading of the fall 2008 semester. Come listen to selections of pose and poetry offered by Antonio DiRenzo, Andrei Guruianu, Katharyn Howd Machan, Katie Marks, Jerry Mirskin, and Fred Wilcox. The theme for the evening is "Wishful Thinking."

The Handwerker Gallery is pleased to announce that Karen Kettering, vice president and specialist of Russian works of art at Sotheby's New York, will deliver a talk entitled "Darker Shades of Red: Socialist Realism and Official Soviet Propaganda from the Cold War Era" at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3.

There will be a screening of Battleship Potemkin at the Handwerker Gallery at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12. Patricia Zimmerman, professor in the Department of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts, will introduce this classic film.
