Gerontology Speaker Series Continues October 1

The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute's Distinguished Speaker Series continues on Tuesday, October 1, with a presentation by David A. Peterson, director of the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and associate dean of the Andrus Gerontology Center at the University of Southern California.

Peterson's talk, "Trends in Gerontology Education and Careers," will be given at 7:30 p.m. in the Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow.

Over the course of his career Peterson has had four research grants from the Administration on Aging that have focused on the extent, consistency, and operation of educational programming in gerontology. He regularly teaches a graduate course on professional issues in gerontology and has authored a book entitled Career Paths in the Field of Aging.
