Academic Symposium Set

A daylong symposium recognizing collaborative research by Ithaca College’s students and faculty is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, at several locations across campus. Scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., the James J. Whalen Academic Symposium will include a program of presentations by students from all five of the College’s schools. All presentations and poster sessions are free and open to the public.

Students will present the results of their work in diverse disclipines including biology, anthropology, physical therapy, sports science, the arts, and business. Also, original student poetry and prose, musical compositions, art, and film will be presented throughout the day. Presentations will take place in the Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall; Clark Lounge, Egbert Hall; and the Roy H. Park Hall Auditorium.

The annual symposium began last year in support of collaborative research on campus and in recognition of president emeritus Whalen’s long-standing support for that tradition. For more information, contact assistant provost Garry Brodhead at 274-3837.
