Thomas Bohn, communications, has been elected to the Advertising Educational Foundation Board of Directors. One of the first two representatives from higher education to serve on the board, he will assist it in creating a student advisory group comprising students who have benefited from AEF programs. He will also be a member of the board’s Education Committee, which makes all policy decisions and recommendations relative to AEF educational efforts.

Fred Wilcox, writing, has been invited by the Philadelphia Writers’ Conference to give a workshop on creative nonfiction next summer. Last summer he gave a workshop titled "Writing! As Though Our Lives Depended on It" at Samhlaiocht Chiarrai (Kerry Arts) in Ireland. In December he discussed some of his recent books on Roger Fredinburg’s national radio show. Forthcoming in the spring will be his newest work, Disciples and Dissidents: Creating Hope in the Emperor’s Apocalyptic World, which he edited for Haley’s Publications.

"The Miracle of Music," a brochure produced for the School of Music capital campaign, has received a silver award in the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education District II Alumni Relations and Communications Awards Program. The brochure, which won in the individual fund-raising publications category, was written by Anne Ryan, development; designed by Windsor Street Design Associates of Rochester; and produced by the College’s Office of Publications.
