KudosGary Littlepage, career services, presented a seminar on the development of portfolios for the Health Sciences and Human Performance Interdisciplinary Supervisors Conference in June. Also in June, Littlepage and three other career development professionals from the region presented a workshop, "Utilizing Peer Professionals to Expand Student Outreach," at the National Career Development Association 2000 Conference in Pittsburgh. Harry McCue, art, is displaying an oil painting in the National Small Oil Painting Exhibition 2000, which will run through October 29 in Wichita, Kansas. He also exhibited a work at the Made in New York 2000 exhibit at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center in Auburn last summer. He will be included in the next editions of Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in America. Stephen Tropiano, cinema and photography, recently completed his second year as an assistant film programmer with Outfest: The Los Angeles International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. He is currently screening shorts for the 2001 Sundance Film Festival, which will be held in Utah in January. Michael Twomey, English, published the article "Is ‘Morgne’ la Faye in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight––or Anywhere in Middle English?" in Anglia 117 (1999). He has also published the entry on Imago Mundi, the medieval encyclopedia, in Medieval Trade, Travel, and Exploration: An Encyclopedia. In May he presented a paper, "Morgan le Fay, Empress of the Desert," at the 35th International Medieval Congress at Western Michigan University. |
