Broadway Classics Showcased In ‘Evening at the Pops’ Concert

A century of Broadway favorites will highlight "An Evening at the Pops," the annual concert sponsored by the Friends of Ithaca College. Titled "A Journey to Broadway," the performance by the Ithaca College Concert Band, conducted by Mark Fonder, is scheduled for Sunday, April 1, at 7:00 p.m. in the Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall.

The concert will feature vocal soloists Tina and Graham Stewart, who graduated from the School of Music in 1983 and 1981, respectively. The program includes selections from Sweet Charity, Sound of Music, West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie, and others.

Tickets are $17.50 each and include a 6:00 p.m. reception with hors d’oeuvres, a dessert buffet, coffee, tea, and sparkling waters. A cash bar will also be available during the reception.

Tickets must be reserved by Wednesday, March 21, and may be picked up at the north foyer of Phillips Hall between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. the night of the concert.
