Rod Serling Exhibit Dedicated
From left to right, Thomas Bohn, dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications; Peggy R. Williams, president; Carolyn Serling; and Gordon Webb, assistant professor of television-radio, attended a May 17 ceremony to celebrate Serling’s 18 years of service to the board of trustees and to dedicate a public display of Rod Serling memorabilia. Located on the first floor of the library, the exhibit features three cases of scripts, awards, and artifacts from the Rod Serling Archives at Ithaca College, which were established and supported by Carolyn Serling to foster scholarship on the work of her late husband. Best known as the narrator and creator of the television series The Twilight Zone, Serling won six Emmy Awards during his 25-year writing career. He was a visiting professor at the College from 1967 until his death in 1975. For more information on the Serling display and archives, contact archivist Bridget Bower at 274-3096.
