Ithaca College presents award-winning poet, lawyer, and political activist, Ogaga Ifowodo in a talk and readings from his latest book, Madiba, winner of the ANA/Cadbury literary prize.

"The Birthplace of Awaited Dreams"
Tuesday, November 18, 7:00 p.m.

Refreshments will be served.

"Ifowodo tells the story of a people and a struggle, the cold embrace of exile, the celebration of courage and the indefatigable human spirit which will not be bowed 'even though they have rolled a stone against the unarmed word.' He holds aloft a bright torch for his generation to see that there is still hope beyond the dead ends." (Onwordi)

Ogaga Ifowodo's numerous awards and honors include the Barbara Goldsmith Freedom to Write Award of PEN USA and the Free Word Award of the Poets of All Nations, Rotterdam.
