The off-campus applications forms will be available at http://www.ithaca.edu/reslife/off_campus/apply_for_oc_status/off_campus_application/ beginning at 12:01am on Monday, October 29, 2012. In order to be considered for approval all applications must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, November 2, 2012. We will approve the first 250 eligible applications on a first come first serve basis.
Only students who will be juniors for fall 2013 (defined as students who lived on campus for 3 complete semesters by the end of fall 2012) will be eligible to apply. Seniors (students who have lived on campus for 5 or more complete semesters by the end of fall 2012) do not need to apply for off-campus approval. Seniors can simply elect to live off-campus.
In order for juniors (as defined above) to be considered for off-campus status, students need to complete the off-campus application, and the off-campus module, “Putting the Pieces Together: Being a Responsible Member of the Ithaca Community”. A parental/guardian approval from is no longer required. Students should not sign any leases before they are officially approved to move off campus by the Office of Residential Life. If you will have less than 3 semesters of on-campus living as of the end of fall 2012, you are not eligible for off-campus approval at this time. We will only consider off-campus approval for these students if we do not receive enough application from rising juniors.
