AUGUST IS IMMUNIZATION MONTH!

Immunizations help protect your family and friends against dangerous diseases. Keep these important facts in mind throughout the month of August (and beyond):

  • Immunizations aren’t just for children - teens, adults, pregnant women and older individuals need to be up to date on their immunizations
  • Not all immunizations are a one shot deal - many need an extra booster shot
  • Keep updated about important new and improved immunizations - amazing new research is done every day to help keep the world a healthier place

Learn more about immunization awareness by visiting http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/partners/events/niam.html

For more tips and information about immunization, join us for "Vaccines for Travel and for Life" on August 5, 2013 from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the Peggy R. Williams Center, HR Conference Room GL052. C. Vivian Lorenzo from the Hammond Health Center will present the ins and outs of immunizations.

RSVPs are appreciated to 4-8000 or email benefits@ithaca.edu
