Women in Buddhism presentation

Contributed by Kevin Walker on 11/03/2013

What role have women played in Buddhism? What difficulties do they endure?

The Ithaca College Buddhist Community is hosting a presentation on "Women in Buddhism" on Monday November 4th from 7-8:15 pm in Friends 309. Who was the first nun? In what regions do nuns struggle for rights? What roles for social justice have women played part in?

Please attempt to bring a pen as there will be some short reflection writing.
