April 2014 launched the start of the annual performance review season. The annual staff evaluation is a key component of the College's performance management process and provides a valuable opportunity for managers and their staff to review and discuss past performance, clarify job duties, set goals and establish expectations for the coming year. The review process will continue to follow the same overall approach and forms consistent with last year, and it is an expectation that all staff participate in the process.
Last year, the College launched an online system to assist with the efficient management of the process. To assist individuals in preparing for their discussion and using the online system, the Office of Human Resources will offer several workshops. Each session will consist of an overview of the key components of the performance process, implementation timeline and deadlines, tips for making the performance appraisal efficient and productive, and a live demonstration of the online system.
Whether you are new to IC or wanting to better understand the process, we encourage you to attend one of the scheduled sessions. If you work remotely and are unable to attend, the performance review forms, instructions and link to the online process is available on the Employee and Organizational Development website at http://www.ithaca.edu/hr/development/performancereview/.
