Seventeen Voice Students Win or Place at NATS Competition
The Ithaca College School of Music hosted the annual National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition recently. Around 200 students from New York State competed. A plethora of IC voice students won or placed in their division. The results are as follows:
Freshman Men
1st place Steven Humes, a student of Brad Hougham
2nd place Nicholas Hermantzis, a student of Deborah Montgomery-Cove
Freshman Women
2nd Place Ana Stachan, a student of Carol McAmis
Junior Men
1st place Tom Lehman, a student of Brad Hougham
Junior Women
1st place Adrianne Fedorchuk, a student of Lee Steward
2nd Place Sara Weaver,a student of Patrice Pastore
3rd place Elena Galvan, a student of Patrice Pastore
Senior Men
Tied for 1st place Omar Najmi and John Stanton, both students of Jennifer Kay
2nd place Garry McLinn, a student of Randie Blooding
Senior Women
1st place Hilary Bucell, a student of Patrice Pastore
tied for 3rd place Laura Intavia, a student of Deborah Lifton, and Anne Byrne, a student of Jennifer Kay
