The French horn duo "MirrorImage" -- Michelle Stebleton and Lisa Bontrager, with Tomoko Kamanaru at the piano -- will present a free concert on Tuesday, November 3 at 8:15 in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. Works from their upcoming compact disc project, “Safari” will be featured, along with commissions for the ensemble by Paul Basler, Ray Chase, and Larry Lowe. Also on the program are several opera arrangements by Ray Chase, which have been recorded on the ensemble’s recent compact disc release, “MirrorImage at the Opera,” on MSR Classics.

Violinist Susan Waterbury will present a free recital at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 1 in the Hockett Family Recital Hall at Ithaca College. Pianist Jeffery Meyer and narrator Mary Alice Dillman will collaborate. Besides the children’s classic “Ferdinand the Bull,” music of Ravel, Beethoven, and Lutoslawski is on the program.

“Keen and Suite” is the theme of a free concert by the West Point Saxophone Quartet to be held at 8:15 pm on Monday, October 26 in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. The concert will include “Suite” by Erik Alan Norman, “Keen” by Roshanne Etezady, and music of Escaich, and Gotkovsky.

Soprano saxophonist Steven Mauk, guitarist Pablo Cohen, and bassist Nicholas Walker—known collectively as “Tango de Cámera” -- will present a free concert on Sunday, October 25 at 4 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall at Ithaca College. The afternoon will feature premieres by Dana Wilson and Sally Lamb, as well as selections by Nicholas Walker, Guillaume Connesson, Jacob Ter Veldhuis, and Bill Whelan.

Ithaca College School of Music faculty clarinetist Richard Faria will perform a free recital on Saturday, October 24 at 2 pm in the Hockett Family Recital Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. He will be joined by violinist Nicholas DiEugenio, cellist Heidi Hoffman, and pianist Josh Oxford. The program will include a Brahms sonata, “Cookbook” by Kenji Bunch, and trio premieres by Perry Goldstein and Josh Oxford.
