Well over a thousand oboists and bassoonists from all over the world are expected on campus June 12-16 for the 36th annual International Double Reed Society (IDRS) Conference. Paige Morgan and Lee Goodhew Romm, oboe and bassoon professors respectively, are hosting and organizing the conference. Just a few of the notables scheduled to appear are bassoonists Ed Gobrecht (retired Ithaca College faculty), Paul Hanson, Frank Morelli, Barry Stees, Abe Weiss, and Arthur Weisberg. Oboists include Richard Killmer, Nancy Ambrose King, Alex Klein, David Weiss, and Thomas Stacy on English horn.
