Carl Johengen (voice) holds a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance and a master’s in voice performance from Ithaca College and a DMA in voice from the Eastman School of Music.  He has previously taught at the University of Wisconsin—Stevens Point, the Crane School of Music, and at Nazareth College in Rochester.

Jennifer Kay (voice) earned her bachelor’s degree in music education and performance at Ithaca College. She holds a master of music from Boston University, and is nearing completion of a D.M.A., also from BU.  She is a former faculty member at Syracuse University and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.  Locally, Jennifer has been a soloist at the Rochester Bach Festival, Oneida Civic Chorale, Colgate University and Hamilton College. She sings with the Rochester-based early music ensemble, Publick Musick.

Alex Perialas (sound recording) fills a new faculty position in the sound recording technology program.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in TV/Radio from the Park School and has owned and operated Pyramid Sound in Ithaca for the past 30 years.  At Pyramid he has engineered, mixed, produced, and/or mastered hundreds of recordings in all genres including a number of gold and platinum recordings.  He has worked closely with several IC faculty members on recording projects.

Jean Clay Radice holds the Bachelor's Degree in Organ Performance from Boston University and the Master's Degree in Organ Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and is an accomplished church musician. She is currently the organist/choir director at St.Paul's Episcopal Church in Owego, New York and has served in similar capacities at other churches in the area. She has given recitals and played continuo in Syracuse, Boston, Ohio, and San Francisco.

Peter Silberman (music theory) holds a B.M. degree in French horn performance and music theory from Oberlin Conservatory, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in music theory from the Eastman School of Music.  He was formerly a faculty member at the University of Rochester and Oberlin Conservatory.  He has an article published in Music Theory Online, and will soon have articles published in The Horn Call and the anthology of essays Musical Currents from the Left Coast.

Brian Dozoretz (manager of music recording technical support) has more than 13 years of experience in the music recording industry.  His roles have included engineer, producer, studio manager, and technician.  He has collaborated with world-class artists, producers and engineers on Grammy-winning projects.  Brian graduated from the Park School of Communications in ’94 with a BS in Audio Production.  In addition to his recording expertise, Brian is an actively performing and recording bassist.
