Starting in fall 2008, flute alumna Jennifer Nitchman ’94 will become the second flutist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, widely considered one of the very top orchestras in the country and the world. She has played second flute with the St. Louis Symphony since 2002. Prior to that, she won the 2001 National Flute Association Young Artist Competition. Nitchman earned a doctorate from Indiana University at Bloomington and master’s degree fromthe University of Wisconsin at Madison. While enrolled at IC she won the concerto competition.
