In a New York Times article about a possible cap on property taxes, McCall made the point that “tax burdens” are in the eye of the homeowner. “Everybody complains about property taxes, but not everybody’s on the same rung on the financial ladder,” he said. Still: “There are definitely people who can’t afford it. They’ve cut as much as they can from their budgets and there is just no more to give.”
