Older employees who may not be ready or able to retire may find new employment opportunities in the health and medicine sector of the economy, reports the Baltimore Sun. Some of these older employees may choose to keep working, but others have to keep working. “Many older workers really need to have full-time jobs to maintain their standard of living and to recoup the investments they have lost in their retirement accounts as the economy turned down,” said Sweet. Health care can be a good fit, he said, since opportunities are likely to expand as baby boomers age, and the jobs offer good pay and a high degree of job satisfaction.
