Ithaca College Calendar of Events for May 3 - 9

TUESDAY, MAY 1
MUSIC
Student performance of piano/vocal duos; 8:15 p.m., Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 2
MUSIC
Performance of “The Wolf by the Ears,” a new opera by Dana Wilson based on the relationship between Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings, with a libretto by Wilson and J. Robert Lennon, conducted by Brian DeMaris and directed by David Lefkowich; 7 p.m., Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center.

Performance by the Jazz Lab Band, directed by Bill Tiberio; 8:15 p.m., Ford Hall, Whalen Center.

THURSDAY, MAY 3
MUSIC
Concert by the Early Music Period Instrument Performance Ensemble; 7 p.m., Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center.

Performance by the Jazz Ensemble, directed by Michael Titlebaum, with saxophonist Remy Le Boeuf and pianist Pascal Le Boeuf; 8:15 p.m., Ford Hall, Whalen Center.

CONTINUING EXHIBITS
“The 2012 Senior Student Show,” a display of student art; runs through May 20, Handwerker Gallery. The gallery is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon–5 p.m.
