Performance by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Michael Morgan, featuring works by Price, Schwantner, Gershwin and Ellington; 7:30 p.m., Ford Hall, Whalen Center (admission charged).
MONDAY, FEB. 10
“After Dinner Mint,” a Faculty Showcase Recital Series performance of music embracing the American culture; 7 p.m., Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Center.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 12
Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen showing of ”Brother Outsider,” the story of Bayard Rustin, organizer of the 1963 March on Washington; 7 p.m., Textor 103.
“Aerial Reconnaissance,” an exhibit of large-scale mixed media drawings by Carla Stetson exploring topics such as wind and water currents, glacial melting and planetary movement; and “Your Margins, Your Rivers, Your Diminutive Villages,” an exhibit of works by Patte Loper featuring site-specific drawings and sculptures guided by surrealist automatism; running through Mar. 7, Handwerker Gallery, Gannett Center. The gallery is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon–5 p.m.
