Learn How to Tap Dance and Hip Hop at Ithaca College

Teacher and dancer Arleigh Rothenberg will return to her Ithaca College alma mater to give two free master classes in dance on Wednesday, March 31. Instruction in “Hip Hop” will take place at 1 p.m.; the class on “Tap” will start at 3 p.m. Both sessions will be held in the Hill Center dance studio on the Ithaca College campus. No registration is required. The classes are open to all skill levels.

A 2006 graduate of Ithaca College, Rothenberg currently lives in New York City, where she teaches dance at a variety of institutions, including the American Tap Dance Foundation and Wagner College. Dancing weekly at the Cotton Club as a member of Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards’s “Sophisticated Ladies,” Rothenberg also performs with the Mann Arts Dance Group, Boston Tap Company, and several other dance ensembles. Her television and screen appearances include dancing in two recent episodes of “Sesame Street” and in upcoming films “STEP UP 3D” and “Eat, Pray, Love.”
