Ithaca College Radio Station in Running for Another Woodie Award
ITHACA, NY — Ithaca College’s 92 WICB is in the running to again be named the top college radio station in the country in a contest sponsored by mtvU, the nation’s largest, most comprehensive television network just for college students.
WICB made the list of the top 10 finalists for the 2011 mtvU Woodie Award, honoring the best college radio station for breaking the latest emerging music and acting as a pioneer in the industry. In 2008 WICB won the inaugural Woodie Award, which is determined by fan voting.

The winner will be announced at the sixth annual mtvU Woodie Awards show, which will air live at midnight on Wednesday, March 16, on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU. Awards will also be handed out in categories that honor the artist of the year, best video, best breaking artist and best tour.
