WHERE OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS! 

 

 New York State Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP)

 HEOP WORKS!

  • Provide a broad range of support services to prospective and eligible New York State residents who, because of academic and economic circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend Ithaca College

  • The Ithaca College Higher Education Opportunity Program provides a 3 to 4 week prefreshman summer institute; mandatory for incoming HEOP participants

  • Counseling, advising, tutoring, and exposure to career development or pre-professional development opportunities are available to all HEOP participants 

  • In addition to academic support, program participants receive financial assistance toward their college tuition and educational-related expenses

  • Support services continue until graduation

     

Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (C-CSTEM) Program

C-STEM EMPOWERS! 

  • Provide a broad range of support services to current historically underrepresented groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, engineering, technology, and health-related STEM fields
  • Provide access to counseling, advising, tutoring, and exposure to career development or pre-professional development opportunities to current C-STEM participants 
  • C-STEM provides professional development opportunities and many types of support services to participants, allowing for greater academic success at Ithaca College
