Sara Harmon and Lauren Denecke Chosen as Washington Media Scholars Week Finalists
IMC majors, Sara Harmon and Lauren Denecke, have been named finalists for the 2014 Washington Media Scholars Foundation's Media Plan Case Competition. After challenging entry and semifinal stages, only six teams in the country are designated finalists. During a week-long all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC, Sara and Lauren will be introduced to dozens of nationally recognized media industry leaders and, on their final day, they will present their media plan to a panel of judges.
Sara is the Vice President for the Ithaca College AAF Chapter, as well as a Park Peer Advisor. She is currently involved in the Leadership Scholars Mentoring Program and is a volunteer for Feeding Children Everywhere. Sara is also a volunteer Social Media Coordinator for the Central New York Area Health Education Center.
Lauren is a member of the Ithaca College chapter of Lambda Pi Eta honor society as well as a Dean's List recipient. She also has been a Production Assistant Intern for Interactive Liquid. Lauren was one of eight semi-finalists in the Perialas Speech Competition.
