Park Peer Advising

Park Peer Advising pairs first-year Park students with a peer advisor to create a smooth transition into the culture and expectations of Ithaca College. The Park School of Communications values the new student cohort and wants to see them succeed in all facets of their college experience.

The goal of Park Peer Advising is to foster and encourage a community of civility, responsibility, engagement, and leadership. Advisors undergo a rigorous selection and training process. Each advisor has at least ten first-year students and meets with them twice a month. Programs include: tours of Park, student media organization discussions, understanding the academic advising process, time management, tools for academic success, and more.
