The Protestant Community at Ithaca College offers students of the Protestant faith a chance to explore and deepen their interests and beliefs.
The PC is led by the chaplain, Rev. Meredith Ellis, and our part-time associate chaplain, Rev. James K. Boodley. The goals of the PC are to foster acceptance and tolerance by focusing on each other's similarities rather than differences.
Students may participate in a variety of activities within the PC. Three different weekly worshipping hours provide flexibility to fit into the busy lifestyle of any college student. Students may also wish to participate in the Hands of Praise Singing Choir, a group that practices hymns and praises music through sign language. Students interested in the Old and New Testament should also be sure to sign up for the Bible studies group, which meets weekly with Rev. Meredith Ellis.
The PC likes to grow within as well as outside the IC community. Volunteer opportunities such as Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Crop Walk only scratch the surface of what students can be involved in if they choose to participate.
