About Field Hockey
A member of the Northern Division of the National Field Hockey League, the Ithaca College Field Hockey Club has quickly become one of the up-and-coming teams in the Northeast. As a member of the NFHL, a league formed in 1997 that currently features 35 teams in three divisions along the eastern seaboard from New York to South Carolina, the Bombers compete against some of the top competition in the nation on a regular basis.
With the recent success of the program, it is necessary for the Ithaca College Field Hockey Club to hold tryouts to determine the roster for the upcoming campaign in the fall of each year. Tryouts are usually held within the first several weeks of the beginning of the fall semester. Practice schedules are set by the team and the Office of Recreational Sports and will run from early September through early November for the fall portion of the season and resume in January for the spring portion.
