About Rock Hard Dance

Rock Hard Dance Company was created to perform dance in an artistic way. We are IC’s only all-modern dance company. The company has less then 20 dancers creating a small close knit group of people. All majors are allowed to audition.

The company utilizes the theater arts department's students to create not only a company but an organization. Rock Hard has no president or vice-president. Rather we have two artistic directors, a financial and publicity coordinator, and stage managers who run rehearsals. Rock Hard creates a very professional atmosphere for non-performers to help with our production. Students studying to be stage managers, arts managers, lighting designers, and sound designers all have opportunities to get experience with helping with Rock Hard.

We hold auditions at the beginning of every semester. The artistic directors, company members, and faculty choreograph pieces for our concerts. Although in only its first year, Rock Hard has already begun to expand and grow.
