The College employs sworn police officers, including the Office of Public Safety's director and associate director, along with state-certified security officers. Between the investigators, uniform police and security officers, and the members of the Student Auxiliary Safety Patrol (SASP), the Office of Public Safety protects the South Hill campus round the clock.
As part of its compliance with federal requirements, the office maintains a record of statistics. It also issues notices, as needed, pertaining to personal safety for members of the campus community. Additionally, it offers a myriad of free services in order to respond to emergencies.
