As a SASP member would I receive any special privileges?
All SASP employees are held to the same standard as the rest of the Ithaca College student body. They
are expected to follow all of the policies set forth by the College. SASP members receive the same
disciplinary action for a violation of the student conduct code as any other member of the student
body.
However, because of training responsibilities, SASP members are able to return to campus one week before the end of summer and winter breaks. Also, SASP members are able to work special events, such as concerts and sporting events, allowing them to attend the event without having to pay the price of admission.
For what violations of the student conduct code can a SASP member actually report
me?
SASP members may report other students to a public safety officer for noise, drug use, and vandalism
violations of the student conduct code. In cases of violations of the Ithaca College alcohol policy,
however, they may only refer other students judicially.
