AACSB International Accreditation

The Ithaca College School of Business has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Currently there are 716 business schools in 48 countries and territories that maintain AACSB Accreditation.

The school earned initial accreditation of its bachelor's and master's degree programs in business administration in 2005. To maintain accreditation, programs must undergo a rigorous review every five years, demonstrating a continued commitment to the 21 quality standards relating to faculty qualification, strategic management of resources, and interactions of faculty and students, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and achievement of learning goals in degree programs.

Since 2008 the school has been housed in the Dorothy D. and Roy H. Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise, the first facility for a college or university business school in the world to earn platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. In each of the past nine years the school has been listed among "The Best 296 Business Schools" by Princeton Review.
