Graduate Hooding Ceremony

2:30-4:00 p.m.
Ben Light Gymnasium, Hill Center

A reception will immediately follow. Graduates from December 2011 to December 2012 may participate.

Formal invitations will be mailed by the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies to all eligible graduates. (Invitations will be mailed to the address on file with the registrar's office.)

Commencement is held the following day, Sunday, May 20, 2012.

Students participating in the graduate hooding ceremony should plan to arrive no later than 2:00 p.m. to allow time to check in. When you check in you will be given a stage walk card which you will hold on to during the ceremony. This card is what Rob Gearhart, Associate Dean, Division of Graduate and Professional Studies, will use to announce you as you walk across the stage.

An usher will direct you to your section of the graduating student seating area. During the ceremony you will be sitting amongst your classmates while your guest(s) will be seated in the general seating area.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Division of Graduate and Professional Studies by calling 607-274-3143. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as much in advance of the event as possible.

To order your Hooding Regalia, visit the Ithaca College Bookstore website. Orders must be placed by April 2, 2012 (payment is due when you place your order). A "graduation center" will be held at the bookstore March 26-27, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., where samples of all items will be available for viewing.
