|Sara R. Hart-Predmore|
In her hometown of Rochester, New York, Sara observed her mother’s preschool classroom where she realized the high demand for speech and language services. After shadowing a speech-language pathologist, she had a feeling this was the right fit for her. Upon visiting Ithaca College, something clicked and she knew this was where she wanted to go. Sara majored in speech-language pathology and audiology, with a minor in Deaf Studies. Four years later, Sara finds herself continuing to seek a career in speech-language pathology by attending graduate school next fall.
During her final semester, Sara obtained clinical experience, working at a “language enhancement program” in a Head Start setting at Beverly J. Martin Elementary School in Ithaca. This placement has allowed Sara to apply the knowledge she gained during her undergraduate career and to develop her professional writing skills. Additionally, this experience solidified her career path. Sara is incredibly appreciative for this experience and she is excited for the next step, beginning next fall.
