Scholarships for Athletic Training, Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Science Majors
The following scholarships are available for students majoring in Athletic Training, Exercise Science or Clinical Exercise Science (as indicated).
Professor Karl K. and Marjorie Klein Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to sophomores, juniors, or seniors in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, and Recreation and Leisure Studies who show outstanding academic performance and expertise in the basic sciences.

Dean William B. Koch Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a senior in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences. The student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and provide evidence of scholarship activity in professional organizations and/or academic research in areas relating to exercise and sport sciences. Financial need is not required. Established in memory of Dean William B. Koch by family and friends.

Richard and Helen Lyon Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students in the Departments of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Health Promotion and Physical Education, Sport Management and Media, and Recreation and Leisure Studies who plan to pursue careers in teaching. Established by gifts of alumni and the family and friends of Coach Dick Lyon and his wife, Helen.

Plus One Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time junior or senior in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences majoring in athletic training, clinical exercise science, or exercise science. Eligible students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be recommended to the dean by their department chair, and provide a résumé and letter describing their career goals and commitment to the health and well-being of others.
