Greek Tragedy in the Afternoon

Contributed by Greg Bostwick

The students of the Styles of Acting class would like to invite you over to the house. The House of Atreus, that is.

On Thursday October 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the Clark Theatre of Dillingham Center, fifteen masked theatre majors will perform individual speeches by famous characters from Greek tragedy, such as Agamemnon, Cassandra, Clytemnestra, Creon, Dionysus, Electra, Haemon, Iphigenia, Jason, Medea, Menelaus, Oedipus, and Orestes. They will also perform, as a group, one of the choruses from Antigone.

The presentation should last for about an hour and a quarter.

We hope you can join us for some or all of the fun. Feel free to arrive late or leave early.
